Community Participation Guidelines

To ensure a positive and enriching experience for all participants, we have established the following rules and guidelines for engaging in the ECLAN community:

Respect and Professionalism:

It is expected that members will treat other members of the community with respect, courtesy, and professionalism. It is advisable to avoid engaging in personal attacks, harassment, or discriminatory behaviour. Foster an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued and appreciated.

Constructive and Relevant Contributions:

Contribute meaningfully to discussions and conversations. Share valuable insights, ask thoughtful questions, and provide constructive feedback. Keep the focus on topics relevant to entrepreneurship, business growth, and innovation in the Caribbean context. Use examples from different jurisdictions across the globe that provide good ground for emulation.

No Spam or Self-Promotion:

Avoid excessive self-promotion or spamming the community with irrelevant content. While sharing your entrepreneurial achievements and milestones is encouraged, ensure that your contributions provide value to others and align with the purpose and spirit of the community.

Confidentiality and Intellectual Property:

Respect the confidentiality and intellectual property rights of others. Do not share confidential or proprietary information without appropriate permission. Give credit to original sources when sharing content and respect copyright laws.

Responsible Use of Communication Channels:

Utilize communication channels, such as messaging systems or forums, responsibly. Avoid sending unsolicited messages, engaging in excessive self-promotion, or using language that is offensive or disrespectful. Maintain professionalism and adhere to the guidelines established for each communication channel.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations:

Abide by all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards when participating in the community. Do not engage in any activities that are illegal, fraudulent, or unethical.

Reporting Violations:

If you come across any behavior that violates these rules and guidelines or raises concerns, please report it to the community administrators. We rely on the collective effort of community members to maintain a safe and supportive environment.

By following these rules and guidelines, we can foster a collaborative and respectful community that promotes learning, networking, and positive engagement among Caribbean entrepreneurs. Remember, the power of our community lies in the collective effort and commitment of its members to create an inclusive and supportive ecosystem.
